GolfMerica connector

Golf help for the moments that matter: the right mental reset for a pressure moment on the course, a 6-question pressure profile, and golf gift ideas by recipient and budget.

The connector is a remote MCP server (Streamable HTTP). It is read-only, stateless, and needs no account. Every input is a fixed choice, so the assistant maps what you said to the nearest option. Your words are never sent to GolfMerica.

Endpoints

All four run the same tools. The endpoint only decides how links are labelled for GolfMerica's own analytics.

Tools

find_golf_gift

Up to three golf gift ideas for someone who plays golf.

• recipient (required): `golf-dad`, `husband`, `coworker`, `new-golfer`, `has-everything`, `other`. other means the person does not play golf, and returns a polite no-match.
• budget (required): `under-30`, `25-75`, `75-150`, `150-300`, `300-plus`, `any`.
• category (optional): `launch-monitors`, `gps-speakers`, `rangefinders`, `stocking-stuffers`, `push-carts`, `golf-balls`, `golf-bags`.

Returns, for each pick: the gift name, one line on why the golfer will want it, a budget band (never a price), and a link to the GolfMerica gift page that carries it. Picks are ranked only by fit to the request. Nothing is sponsored or boosted. If nothing fits, it says so and names the nearest budget that has picks.

Every response carries the line: “GolfMerica may earn a commission from purchases made through these pages.”

get_golf_reset

• situation (optional): `first-tee`, `tee-shot-trouble`, `short-putt`, `blow-up-hole`, `three-putt`, `all`, `other`. Left out, the tool asks which moment it is.

Returns the reset's name, a link to play it, and the instruction “Tap it before the next shot. Every time it shows up. Not once.” Five moments are covered. For any other problem (other) it links to the GolfMerica assessment instead of guessing.

golf_pressure_profile

The six-question GolfMerica pressure profile.

• action get_questions: returns the six questions and their answer options, word for word.
• action score_answers with answers: six letters in question order. Questions 1–5 take a–d; question 6 takes a–e. A missing or invalid answer returns an error naming the question.

Returns the profile name, its headline and first paragraph, the recommended reset's name, and a link to the full profile on golfmerica.com. Scoring is the same code the website uses, so the same answers always give the same profile.

Data use

• No account, no sign-in, no personal data requested.
• Nothing you type reaches GolfMerica. The assistant sends only the fixed choices above.
• Each call writes one log line: the time, which endpoint, which tool, the choices it mapped to, how many results it returned, and for a scored profile, which profile. Raw input is never logged. These logs are kept by our host for at least 24 hours.
• Answers to the profile questions are scored and discarded. They are not stored.

Limits

Requests are rate limited per IP address. Over the limit, the server returns HTTP 429 with a Retry-After header.
